We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Translational Reproductive Biology and Clinical Reproductive Biology (FRM) Conference from November 17-20, 2016, in New York City, USA.

Please see a few useful tips below before you travel to join us…

Arrival from the airport to the Conference venue (Grand Central Station):

If you are arriving at John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK),

Taxi: The flat fare for a taxi is $45.00, so the total with toll and tip should never exceed more than $60.00. Make sure you take an official yellow NYC cab from the line outside the terminal.
Bus: There are express buses from JFK Airport to Grand Central, the fare is around $15.00 (one-way).
Train: If you would like to avoid traffic, take the JFK AirTrain to the stop: Subway station. At Subway station, take the E train Manhattan direction and get off at 42nd Times Square. From there the walk is 10 minutes or less to Grand Central. AirTrain fare is $5.00 and the subway is $2.50 (one-way).

If you are arriving at LaGuardia Airport (LGA),

Taxi: A taxi, including tolls and tip, will cost about $35.00 to $40.00.
Bus: There is a shuttle service from LGA to Grand Central, the fare is about $16.00 (one-way).
Train: To get to the train, take the M60 bus from LGA to 125th Street. Transfer to the 4,5 or 6 Subway line and take it to 42nd Street. You are at Grand Central.

If you are arriving at Newark Liberty Airport,

Taxi: Newark Airport is not serviced by NYC cabs, so a car service is generally recommended and will cost about $80.00 with tip and tolls.
Bus: Take the Newark Airport Express Coach or bus lines 28, 37, 62, 67, 107. The coach will drop you off just a block south of Grand Central Station and is the last stop on this line. From there the walk is a few minutes to Grand Central, the fare is around $14.00 (one-way).

Conference Workshops
Pre-Conference Workshops will be held on November 17th from 13:00-17:00. Registration will open at 12:00 on the level Morosco & Plymouth, the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

Welcome Reception
The Conference Welcome Reception will be held November 17th from 17:00-18:00 at the Regency Ballroom, the Grand Hyatt Hotel. All Conference participants are invited to join!

Scientific Program
The Opening Plenary Session starts at 08:30am on Friday, November 18th in the Manhattan Ballroom, parallel to the Grant Hyatt Hotel Lobby.

Please register upon arrival in order to receive your kit containing the FRM Program Book, your personal name badge, invitations, etc. Please remember to wear your name badge to all Conference activities and social events.

Invited Speakers Presentations
Speakers are requested to hand their presentation to the technician located at the back of the lecture hall no later than 1 hour prior to the session in which they are scheduled in order to upload their slides.

Poster Presentations
Posters will be available for viewing on-site over the 2 main days of the Congress:
Group A, Friday, November 18
Group B, Saturday, November 19

Posters should be mounted on the boards provided on-site on the morning of the presentation day. Mounting material will be provided by the Conference Secretariat.
Poster presenters should check their poster numbers in the Conference Program Book on-site or on the FRM Conference website and should plan to be beside their posters to answer questions during the breaks as scheduled in the Program on the day of their presentation.
Posters should be dismantled at the end of their presentation day, no later than 17:00. The Conference Organizer is not responsible for posters that are not removed on time!

Some participants may require a visa in order to enter the USA. Please check with your local Consulate or Embassy.
Please remember that obtaining an entry visa is your own responsibility.

Informal for all occasions

In November the weather gets cold in New York, when the autumn season is turning into winter. During this month, the average temperature for the city is 5.5°C (about 42°F), created by highs of 9°C (48°F) during the daytime and lows of 2°C (35.6°F) after dark.
While cold, New York this time of year is magical, so dress warm and enjoy the city regardless!
